Bulova's Caravelle division was launched in the early 1960s. The earliest examples of these wonderful watches have dauphin-style hands and lumed digits before moving to the more familiar baton style later in the decade. Another mark of an earlier Caravelle vintage is use of the wonderful Adolph Schild Swiss movements before moving to the Citizen 0241 in the late 60's.
This Caravelle is such an example, and it's in cosmetically amazing shape for a 48 year old watch! The lume (which is not radium) still glows amazingly bright.
